A Interesting Article for Timeshare Owners

I don't get the question every day, but periodically people consult me about timeshare interests they have purchased over the years, generally after a hard sales pitch suffered in hopes of a discounted car rental. Some clients see these timeshares as wonderful assets, although the vast majority agree with me that they are essentially a scam at heart. The companies vary quite a bit in policies, so I can understand the difference in attitudes about them.
The good news is that if you plan to file a bankruptcy you can shed the timeshare in the bankruptcy. No more finance charges, maintenance fees or other payments.
Here is a link to an article on the topic of Timeshares generally, not specific to bankruptcy. I thought it was interesting, even if it is not central to my bankruptcy practice. https://www.mystatesman.com/travel/how-get-rid-timeshare/VCt5iTGvTldC0zM5VoWmgN/
